Capital Campaign Concludes June 5

Beat the Streets Chicago's first-ever capital campaign comes will be wrapped up on Saturday, June 5.  The campaign began in October, 2019 with the goal of raising $2.1 million to finance the acquisition, renovation and operation of a world-class wrestling and enrichment center for Chicago youth.

On June 19, 2021, the organization purchased a 10,000 square foot former fitness center at 5985 South Archer in Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood.  Since then, renovations have been underway, led by Board member Doug Baum and general contractor Ninos Oshana of Stages Construction.

The capital campaign, co-led by Board President Paul Carbery and Board Member Tim Philosophos has been raising funds even while the building has been under construction.  On Saturday, June 5, Carbery and Philosophos will formally conclude the campaign, with the unveiling of the "Donor Wall" at the new facility.

The facility will be open June 7 for wrestling practice.  A grand opening celebration is planned for the June 11,12,13 weekend.
