CAPITAL CAMPAIGN ENTERS HOME STRETCH

APRIL 13, 2021: With our new facility grand opening on the horizon, our Capital Campaign team is working hard to meet its goal before summer camps get started.  With less than 10% yet to raise, success is in sight!

The Capital Campaign was launched in October, 2019 with a goal of raising $2.1MM for purchase, renovation and operation of a new stand-alone wrestling and enrichment facility for Chicago youth.  The facility, a former fitness center at 5985 S. Archer Avenue in Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood, was purchased in June 2020.  Renovations began shortly afterwards.

We expect to be open for programming in May.  We've scheduled our public grand opening for the weekend of June 11-13, preceded by an appreciation dinner for campaign donors on June 5.

To date, we've received donations and pledges totaling $1,860,000.  To qualify for a $100,000 match in April, we are finalizing commitments to raise another $40,000 this month.  Once we meet that goal, we'll reach $1.9 million, or 91% of total goal!  With just $200,000 left to raise in May, we are hopeful that we can finish strong and deliver on our commitment to raise enough money to build and operate a world-class center for our Chicago Life Champions-in-training.

To contribute to the Facility Fund and help us reach our Capital Campaign goal, there are three ways to donate:

Make a cash donation online or mail a check made out to Beat the Streets Chicago to 2189 W. Bowler St., Chicago IL 60612 (be sure to indicate "Facility Fund" in the memo line or with an attached note)

Sponsor an item on our "Fund a Need" wish list of equipment

Make a pledge to donate over 2-5 years.  Email Mike Powell to discuss how to make a multi-year commitment.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!  We are humbled and grateful to everyone who shares our vision that all Chicago youth can be Life Champions.
