BTS visits Iowa City for the World Cup

A group of Beat the Streets wrestlers made a visit to Iowa City last weekend for the World Cup. They were able to see some of their favorite wrestlers from 8 different countries compete on the big stage at Carver Hawkeye Arena and watch Team USA win the gold for the first time in 15 years!

Illinois wrestling legend and former Iowa Hawkeye wrestler Sammy Brooks gave the boys an exclusive tour of their facilities in Carver. They were also able to meet the one and only Dan Gable! 

Brooks has also been working to collect donations for BTS Chicago. He was able to gather a bunch of wrestling shoes and gear from his peers in the Iowa wrestling room. These will all be donated to our local BTS wrestlers in need.
